Who?
Katerina Gregos is an independent curator and artistic director of Art Brussels, the contemporary art fair starting this week. The lady obviously knows her art, but we’re glad to say she agreed to share some of her favourite hangouts in downtoww Brussels. But first…how does she see the role of a modern art fair?  “To inform about art and to facilitate the art economy, and the livelihoods of artists (and their respective galleries). To offer the occasional epiphany.”

piola libri
- 66-68 rue franklin, 1000 brussels

Who?
Best friends Chloe and Sarah run Brussels’ Kitchen, one of our favourite online guides on ‘food with style.’ “We love eating out and discovering new places. On Brussels’ Kitchen we talk about the places we tecommend in terms of food and interior in Brussels.” Sarah herself is a cook at Henri & Agnes, and Chloe co-founded Take Eat Easy, an online venue where you can order out from the best restaurants in Brussels. These girls know their way around town, so they make the perfect guides for our quintessential list of hangouts for the artsy, fartsy, fancy schmansy.

Favourite hangout for wine and books?
“A library/ wine bar which does aperitivo like in Milan. Same concept, you have a glass of wine and you can fill a plate of antipasti for free. So of course you have another glass, you talk for ages, you even sit on the kerb is the terrace is full. I still don’t know who gets the best out of this kinda of system, but it think it makes everyone happy.”
